OUTREACH EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM
The Center for Nanoscale Materials Outreach Educational Program is designed to teach the public, particularly students and educators, about our work and its general importance. To facilitate these goals, we engage in:
- Visits and Presentations at local high schools
- Summer Programs for high school teachers and students (Nano Summer Camp)
- Two day workshops for high school teachers and students on NASA's Research Interests and Nanotechnology
- Undergraduate and Graduate Research (see Personnel section for participants)
- Student Internships at NASA Center
- Nanotechnology Video Conference Courses and Seminars between NASA and UPR
- Preparation of modules on nanotechnology suitable for Physics and Chemistry undergraduate courses
